Regular Testing Mandated for Unvaccinated Faculty and Staff
CUNY provides on-site COVID-19 testing at 20 University locations — including BMCC. Faculty, staff and students who (1) have not submitted proof of COVID-19 vaccination in the CUNYfirst system, (2) are unvaccinated or (3) have undisclosed vaccination status, must register on CUNYfirst and make a selection under the vaccination status box, then click the “submit” button at the bottom of the page. This generates an email with a personalized link to register and make an appointment at a CUNY testing location.

CUNY Access Pass Through Cleared4 System Replaces Everbridge VaxPass
Vaccinated BMCC students, faculty and staff should now use the CUNY Access Pass to validate vaccination status and facilitate campus access. This tool is managed by the Cleared4 Platform and replaces the Everbridge VaxPass, which is no longer available. The CUNY Access Pass will expire one year from the date you became fully vaccinated. Please look for the Cleared4 email from “no-reply@cleared4work.com” in your BMCC email (check your spam folder, if you don't see it) and follow the link it provides to register and obtain the CUNY Access Pass. For more information visit  CUNY Access - Cleared4 Guide for Vaccinated CUNY Students, Faculty and Staff or Cleared4 FAQs in CUNY IT Help.

Visit the Reimagining BMCC website for more information on returning to campus.

Food Take Advantage of Digital Signage and Communications on Campus
BMCC continues to do its part to minimize its carbon footprint and the waste of paper by offices and departments on the BMCC campus. BMCC has many options to promote services and events using digital platforms such as the BMCC Calendar on the college website, BMCC's social media channels, video screens across campus and weekly e-newsletters distributed by Public Affairs (@BMCC) and Student Affairs (Panther Paw). Flyers and posters on easels are discouraged. They deface the college walls, block entrances to walkways and waste ink and paper. We are living in a digital and paperless world. There are many paperless ways of reaching out to the BMCC community. The resources mentioned are FREE and available to you. The Office of Public Affairs can assist you in finding the most effective way of reaching audiences and promoting your services and events. Take advantage and keep our campus clutter free!

File Permanent Address Meeting Commutable Distance Standard by December 1
While working remotely, some BMCC employees have changed their permanent address of record to an area outside the University's commutable distance standard, which encompasses parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and upstate New York. Because CUNY is not set up as an employer beyond the commutable distance standard — and cannot withhold other states’ incomes taxes, participate in their unemployment programs or apply their localized state and municipality laws — employees are asked to submit a change of address form to officeofhumanresources@bmcc.cuny.edu, reinstating their address of record that met the commutable distance standard, by December 1.
