Parents

Honoring Parents Past, Present and Future.
National Parents Day—a day we celebrate the significant role parents play in our lives—is July 24. BMCC recognizes and honors all the parents and guardians who have supported students and alumni of the College over the years. We also salute the students who are parents themselves and are balancing academic life with parental responsibilities. Here at BMCC, we know it truly does take a village to succeed at parenting. For our student-parents who are striving for academic and career success, we offer on-campus resources such as the Parent Club and Early Childhood Center to help ensure their success.

This is the perfect time to celebrate the parents and guardians who supported so many of our alumni on their journey to the successful positions they are in today. Visit the BMCC Alumni Page on Facebook and share some of your parents’ favorite words of wisdom, inspiring quotes or funny sayings that only a parent would express and inspire a few folks. Post on social media using #NationalParentsDay and encourage others to celebrate the day. If there are too many words or phrases of encouragement to mention, consider making a donation in honor of a parent and support a program that would honor your parent or guardian best.

Cheers to parents and the amazing amount of knowledge they provide. For more ways to honor a parent contact us at advancement@bmcc.cuny.edu
