BMCC Community Invited to Join 9/11 Commemorations September 11 and 12
BMCC is the only college in United States history to have lost a campus building to a terrorist attack. That history, along with the spirit of resiliency and recovery that has followed, will be honored in two special events open to the BMCC community.

Matos Rodríguez and BMCC President Anthony E. Munroe.
  • Monday, September 12 at 9:15 a.m. — The anniversary of 9/11 will be observed with a wreath ceremony at the main entrance of 199 Chambers Street. BMCC President Anthony Munroe, Student Government Association (SGA) President Carlene Nelson and a student veteran will place the wreath, assisted by VP of Student Affairs Marva Craig and Provost/Sr. VP for Academic Affairs Erwin Wong.
