Results of Staff and Graduate Surveys Available to BMCC Community
The BMCC Office of Institutional Effectiveness has just posted on the BMCC website, the 2017 Staff Survey reports (Quantitative and Qualitative) and a report on the Survey of BMCC Graduates from 2017-18 Academic Year. The Staff Satisfaction Survey reflects a 20 percent response rate, a slight increase over the previous year, and involved 326 staff members. The perception of job satisfaction reflected in the survey is based on factors such as salary, benefits, working environment, colleagues and location. The 2017-18 Graduates Survey included responses from 995 individuals, about 24 percent of the total population. One finding indicates that 96 percent of those surveyed would recommend BMCC to friends and relatives, up two percent from last year. For more information, visit Institutional Reports on the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics page of the BMCC website.

BMCC Panther Pantry: A Helpful Resource for Students
If anyone in the BMCC community is aware of a student experiencing food insecurity, support is available through the BMCC Panther Pantry, located in Single Stop at 199 Chambers Street, Room S-230. "The holidays are a time for families to come together but also a difficult time for many people," says Deborah Harte, director of Single Stop at BMCC. "The Panther Pantry provides nutritionally balanced, nonperishable food for students in need. We also help students connect with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. We are in the process of developing our donation policy—making sure that it is in compliance with Food Bank guidelines—so we are not asking for food donations at this time. Please check back to our website for how to donate food items in the future. We are very appreciative of the BMCC community's support for this vital resource for our students."
